The Problem

Milan Design Week is one of the most competitive and visually saturated events in the design industry. The challenge was not only documenting the experience, but translating the atmosphere, craftsmanship, and spatial design into digital content that could capture attention in real time across social media platforms.

What I Did

As Media Director, I managed the full media operation during Masterly in both 2025 and 2026. This included directing photographers, overseeing on site content production, shaping the live social media narrative, and ensuring all visual communication aligned with the premium positioning of both BLOK Plaatmateriaal and Carina Riezebos.

I created a real time content approach focused on storytelling, atmosphere, and visual consistency. By combining strategic content direction with fast execution on site, the brand maintained a strong and recognizable presence throughout the event across Instagram, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.

The project successfully positioned BLOK Plaatmateriaal within the centre of the design conversation during Milan Design Week across two consecutive years. The result was a complete end to end media presence covering photography, social content, and live event storytelling at one of the world’s leading design events.
